But you know what, there really is no place that everything is 'supposed to go'. And it's just a mantle! So rearrange, switch things up, and try something new. There is so much beautiful holiday decor inspiration to be found on Pinterest. Take a chance, you might be surprised at what you can do with the items in your own home.
With all that said, let's take a look at my mantle for Easter. I used some Blue Chevron fabric from Fabric.com, cut it into strips and wrapped it around a straw wreath. Then I 'ruffled' a bit of burlap by folding it accordian style and pinning it down.
Hint: If you pin the fabric on the wreath, then you can change it out from time to time. No big commitments with fabric or seasons!
I pulled out my 'vintage' bunnies from Home Goods. I like how the blues and whites pop out against my painted fireplace.
Finally, I added those "Twine Easter Eggs" that I made last weekend.
After a few season of decorating this mantle, I can now tell that pastels and light colors look best against that dark brick. If you have a white mantle or neutral colors, try a contrasting color for your mantle decor. Easter is one of those times you can put hot pink, yellow, lime green or turquoise on your mantle and get away with it!
Are you going to take a chance and decorate your mantle for Easter?
