So here is the BEFORE:
And here is the AFTER:
I created a little vignette on the wall using the burlap wreath I made during the holidays and a few old pictures Jeff's grandparents gave us years ago.
One of the hardest parts of the project was getting the toys under control and off the floor. I really cleaned house and sent a lot of items to Goodwill. The funny thing is the girls have not even noticed I gave anything away!
My crazy pillows were transformed with some new fabric from JoAnn's.
The bird pillow- purchased for $20 at HomeGoods. It was the most expensive thing in the room!
Organization, simplifying and living with less toys has made this room feel bigger and more relaxed. Next step? Getting better lighting, maybe something like one of the floor lamps that Kichler Lighting has.
The pink butterfly table was permanently stained with markers, paints and crayons. It feels so clean to have it painted one solid color.
We are all enjoying the 'new' playroom. The entire make-over was done for under $50.
And with less clutter, it is easier to keep clean. The room really can stay looking like this.

Now time to bask in the beauty of my lovely playroom :)
