So this week was all about Super Heroes and celebrating our Super Teachers. I had pinned a lot of ideas and happily I executed most of them! The Super Hero theme for Teacher Appreciation Week was a hit with the kids and the teachers. I made a cape for our teacher by simply cutting off the arms and front of t-shirt from Hobby Lobby. Then I hot glued felt pieces to the back for embellishment.
I spent an entire soccer practice (and then some) making no-sew felt masks for the kids. It made for a fun surprise and then lots of great photos afterwards.
Finally, we showered our super teacher with gift cards and the kids used their favorite apps to make photo collages. I helped Afton use PicMonkey to make this collage and print it on card stock. I mounted it to brown card stock and punched holes at the top. With a little ribbon laced through the holes, it can hang on nail or thumb tack in the class room (this would be cute for Mother's Day too!)
