Build It: TV Mounted on Patio

Football season is here, so you know what that means. (Hours upon hours of game watching!) We had a tv in our garage, it used to be the spot where my husband hung out, watched the games, did 'man stuff'. But ever since our patio became so 'industrial chic'-- Jeff has been spending more time out back.

So he decided to move his tv to the back porch. At first, I wasn't so sure. I didn't want his tv to interfere with my pretty place.

I should have known better than to doubt him. It probably would have been easier to do before he added the wood planks to the ceiling.  But that didn't stop him, he ran the wiring down the edge of the planks and then covered the wiring by framing in the entire space. I really think it made the whole ceiling look more 'finished'.

As the wiring came down the wall, Jeff ran it through some piping. Ahhh! Industrial Chic at it's best.

The directv box is tucked under the screen. Nice and neat.

Can a man cave have a chandelier? I think so!

Oh and there is another new addition to our backyard...

I mean besides the sweet potato vine, that is threatening to take over the entire patio!

He was gifted to us. (Remember I live in Texas!) I think he needs paint. What do you think? Silver? Turquoise?

Do you have a football fan in your home? Where does he (or she) watch the games?

PS- Remember my guy from HomeGoods? Still haven't painted him. Maybe after I tackle the cow head...

  5. Thanks! I think it gets a ton of water, that flower bed has an automatic sprinkler. The vines we have in pots tend to struggle if we don't water them everyday. It is a thirsty plant! :) Samantha
