Just a short 3.5 hour drive from DFW brought us to Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs. We found this resort after searching for a 'glamping' style weekend. I was looking for somewhere to go that provided lots of 'social distancing' and outdoor fun- combined with great food and luxurious amenities.
The 'camp' consists of chic little cabins nestled in the trees. Community areas with fire pits and rocking chairs are spread throughout the property.
We spent two afternoons lounging by the pool, enjoying the swim-up bar.
For dinner the first night, we went to Tillie's - the restaurant on property. Reservations are highly recommended. We loved the atmosphere, decor and menu!
After dinner, we walked around camp and enjoyed the lights and porch swing.
The next day, we woke early for hiking and outdoor adventures.
You can visit Camp Lucy for a couple's get-away, as a family trip, or for a wedding. There are so many beautiful options for weddings here!
Near Onion Creek, which runs through the front of Camp Lucy, there is a barn with llamas. We loved meeting these furry friends.
Camp Lucy offers outdoor activities too! You can sign up for fishing, archery, and ax throwing.
We took a short drive on our second night to Trattoria Lisina. It is a beautiful winery and an Italian restaurant. We had a delicious meal with the best service. The perfect venue for a birthday dinner!
If you are looking for a great Texas getaway or a gorgeous Hill Country wedding venue, check out Camp Lucy!
