Nutcracker Christmas Party

You all know how I feel about theme parties. I LOVE them! And as much I enjoy planning them, they are also my favorite to attend. If you follow me on Instagram, you have probably seen photos of my youngest daughter performing ballet. This weekend will be her 5th year to perform in the Colleyville Ballet's production of the Nutcracker. To celebrate the show, one of my 'dance mom' friends hosted a "Nutcracker Christmas Party" for our girls. I loved all the treats, crafts, and decor. She added so many fun details to this Nutcracker party. It was right up Maisy's alley- and mine too!

We were greeted at the door with smiles and this beautiful vignette. Do you see the pointe shoes? So adorable. The light board is so welcoming!

In the kitchen, she had a beautiful party table set-up with cute, themed snacks. Our girls are performing as 'party girls', clowns, mice, and angels. The food ties in with their roles.

All of the paper goods and table decor are from the Oriental Trading Company. You can see the Nutcracker Party collection from Oriental Trading Company by clicking here.

Mini-hot dogs wrapped in croissants with tiny pepperonis make the perfect little mice.

Sugar Plum Fairy Popcorn
Jamaica had these cookies specially made for the party.

Ballerina Marshmallows
After eating, the girls went in dining room for a few crafts. They used dot paint to create Christmas trees. After the paint dried, a vinyl ballerina silhouette was added to each painting. The paintings were so pretty!

After crafting, they danced and played. It was great for these dance friends to get together outside of the studio. They have all worked so hard- rehearsing and preparing since September!

These girls are ready for the big show! And so are their moms! :)

Best of luck to our ballerinas!
