One of our favorite things to do in the summer is craft (of course). As the girls get older, I keep looking for new ideas to keep them interested and inspired. I have been fortunate that Craft Project Ideas sends me a box of goodies several times a year. The box contains a variety of beads, string, stickers, paint, pipe cleaners, sequins, and glitter. Then the fun part is up to us... what to make?!
How about Dream Catchers?
These "Paper Plate Dream Catchers" were so easy and fun to make. I was pleasantly surprised how much time the girls spent working on these and adding details. With 'tween crafts' you never know if they are going to be a hit. But this one definitely was!
Supplies needed:
-Markers
-Paper Plates
-String
-Beads
-Scissors
-Feathers
-Scrapbook Paper
I helped the girls cut out the center. Then they colored and added designs to the outside of the plate. We punched holes around the middle and they used string to weave in and out of the holes. They included beads and scrapbook paper feathers too.
Each one was made a bit differently.
And this is what my table looked like when we were done!
After crafting, the girls had lunch and went swimming. Such a sweet afternoon with friends.
And if you are looking for other fun Tween Craft Ideas, Craft Project Ideas also a lot of activity kits. All the supplies and directions are included to make popular tween crafts like bath bombs, stress balls, fashion designs, slime and more. CPI sent a few kits for my girls to try out. The bath bombs and journal kit have been their favorites!
