DIY Graduation Gift: College Hashtag Tote Bag
The College Hashtag bag is a fun twist on a project I have shared here. All you need to make your hashtag bag is a canvas tote bag, craft paint, and iron-on letters.
To start, use painter's tape to create a line. I like to place it near the lower third of the bag. Then use a foam brush to apply the paint. Lighter colors only need one coat. But I like to do two coats for the darker colors. Let the paint dry completely before removing the tape.

Use iron-on letters to add your 'hashtag'. (My set of iron-on letters did not contain a hashtag, so I made one myself by cutting up a H and an I.)
There are so many possibilities for this bag. I created "College" themed ones for my girls' school teachers. But while I was making them- I kept thinking... these would make awesome graduation gifts! And I also made a "ballet" one for Maisy to give to her dance teacher. And wouldn't this be a cute gift for a bride-to-be or a newly married couple?!
Below I sourced the supplies. If you make a Hashtag Bag-- send me a pic or tag me on social media! You can't go wrong with a hashtag :) :)
