VBS Crafting

We spent this week at Vacation Bible School. Are your kids going to VBS this summer?

We 'jazzed up' the VBS tanks by cutting off the sleeves and using strips of the cut sleeves to tie the tops.
Then we added glitter fabric paint to the letters :)
Our church did a 'western theme'. I was the guide for 16 kiddos (including my daughter) who will be going into second grade. They were super sweet and so enthusiastic. My girls and I had a blast spending time with old friends and making new ones.

This was Maisy's first VBS- she loved it. Makes me feel good about her starting preschool in the Fall.

We had some talented craft coordinators- I thought you guys would appreciate some good VBS crafts
;)
1. Mod Podge Fabric to the Frame of Chalkboard- kids wrote bible verses on it.
2. Painted Horse shoe- stood for a color of faith. The kids learned the meaning of the colors.
3. Penny Cross- Our sins have been in paid in full by Jesus.
4. A Lantern with bible verse on top- inside are rocks and a battery powered tea candle.

Oh and they brought a pony into the sanctuary-- it's not everyday you see a pony in our church!

Have a great weekend!
