1. Gold- After so much silver, looks like Gold is making a come-back. The good news, you can mix you metals. Update your home with a variety of metallic finishes. (And yes, the rumors are true, brass is now considered 'chic' again too!)
2. Lots of Geometric Prints- Of course! Stripes will always be a decorating staple. And along with the super popular chevron, look for hounds tooth and honeycomb too.
3.Botanical Prints & Nature- The owl and the fox have paved the way, now look for even more of the outdoors to find their way in. Look for large floral prints and animal prints- not just leopard! (Notice the subtle zebra print below.) Nate Berkus always said that a room isn't finished until it includes at least one thing from nature. He was ahead of his time :)
4. Emerald Green- Every year Pantone, the color people, come out with a 'color of the year'. This year, their chosen color is 'emerald green'. Not willing to paint your walls? Me neither. But I might try some glassware, a throw pillow, or a small emerald green accent.
5. Tribal Prints- Not for everyone. But definitely a great way to add color, a new pattern and some texture. All things in moderation right?

I might be in trouble this year, but if next year, bark, rocks, wood tones and Paisley teal come back I'm good to go!
