Crafty How To: Bookpage Monogram

In the spirit of my "Monogram" board on Pinterest, I present to you the "Bookpage Monogram".
Super simple and gorgeous.

I loved the look of this project, but I needed something faster. It's summer after all, which means kiddos and fun around the clock.

So I tore a page out of a book that I will never read. You know one of those books that you use for decor purposes only. Then I got on my computer and typed a big "C" in American Typewriter font at 400 pt.  I added a centered text box below with the year of our wedding in the same font at 36 pt.

I put it into my printer and out it came. The perfect size 5 x7. Beautiful... black and white.

Frame it - love it. Done! All in about 10 minutes.

The perfect project for summer. This would make a great gift for weddings, anniversaries, or even new babies.

What projects are you squeezing in this summer? Between camps, pool time, and traveling it's hard to find time for crafting. Good thing there are 24 hours in a day :)

  2. Okay, I'll have to admit...I cringed a little at the 'tearing-the-page-out-of-the-book' part. =O I think, in part, due to my book addiction. ;) I know, I know, but... Quick solution? Find something online to print out instead. Old book in the public domain would be great...no violating copyright laws. Plus, most of them are classics. ;) Love stories, poetry, etc. Happy hunting!

  4. I love this idea. I plan on doing it with a (copied) Bible page for our front entrance gallery wall.
