Vintage Cowgirl Party

My sweet Maisy Lou turned one! So to celebrate we had a "Vintage Cowgirl" party. Lots of pink, blues, shabby chic, and cowboy boots!

I made party circles for the cupcakes and food labels by using the 'shape' tool on Word. Then I cut them out using a scalloped round punch that I found in the scrapbooking section at Hobby Lobby.

These are Jeff's boots from when he was little. I filled them with spray roses.
Table cloths are made from burlap- JoAnn's (with the coupon of course!)

For decorations, I made lots of bunting with scrapbook paper. (I'll post the exact how-to) later this week.

I also made these tissue paper decorations. These were easy and inexpensive. I bought tissue paper packs from Hobby Lobby for $1 each. Each ball takes 8 sheets of tissue paper. Here are Martha Stewart's directions.

We served bbq to go with the 'cowgirl' theme. Jeff loves to cook for a crowd!

The kiddos played outside the whole time. I also set up a coloring table with horses to decorate. After lunch they got to hit the pink pinata. Candy was collected in little bags labeled 'cowgirl chow'- these served as party favors as well.

I made white cupcakes with pink cream cheese icing and Bakerella's cowgirl cookies for dessert. Maisy loved her cupcake!

We had a lot of fun- and Maisy felt very loved!
