With all of our backyard 'redecorating'-- we are more than ready for summer. We are having some friends over to swim for Memorial Day, so are busy prepping the pool and yard. And of course, preparing a yummy menu.
Last month, the makers of the
"Angry Egg" and
"Silky Swim" sent us some new pool products to try.
(Disclosure: I received these products for free, I was not compensated in any way, all opinons are my own.) So before our guests arrive, we added them to the pool.

In their own words, "Angry Egg" cleans and clears cloudy pools "Silky Swim" keeps pool water feeling soft, skin smooth and hair tangle-free. |
With the pool clean and ready, all that is left to take care of is the menu. Here are a few of my favorite 'eats and treats' for a summery backyard bbq.
Homemade Salsa
Raspberry Almond Summer Salad
Roasted Red Pepper Pasta Salad
Zesty Grilled Veggies
Quick & Easy BBQ Chicken
Quick & Easy BBQ Chicken
Homemade BBQ Sweet Potato Chips

Mile-High Chocolate Pie

Thankful for all those who have served our country, let us take a moment and remember them this Memorial Day.

I love the cupcake idea! So unique and different. We bought a snow cone maker at Target years ago and it works surprisingly well, so I'll definitely try that snow cone syrup recipe. Thanks for all the tips!
