Crafty How To: Father's Day Photo

With Father's Day coming up, I have been looking for something to give to my helpful hubby and our adoring Grandpa, GranDanny, Gramps and Papa. We have a lot of guys to remember on June 17th!

Luckily my friends Elyse and Heather showed me a little something they were working on for their husbands. A great twist on a special photo for Dad---made simply from chalk on the sidewalk. Easy, cute, and original. I just knew I had to try it.

 Want to make one of your own? Start by finding a good spot on the driveway. Work with your kiddos and some chalk. Step back and take some photos!

 I ended up climbing up on ladder to get the right angle. And even though it was overcast, the girls felt it was too sunny to look up. So we added some sunglasses. I finished up by editing the photo over at PicMonkey (which is free and awesome!)

I have it framed and ready for the Dads in our life. It would also make a cute card, mug, mousepad etc. Check out your favorite photo print shop- bet they have a million ways to turn your photo into a keepsake.
