Each year Jeff's parents treat the family to a vacation over Labor Day weekend. The trip is their Christmas gift to us. This year, we went to Austin.
They rented this cool 'industrial chic' house. (If you google it, search for The Acme House on Lake Travis). The house is spacious, perfect for our group of 17. It has a big family room with a tv, pool table and room for the kiddos to stretch out and play.
The dining table sits 12. The kitchen even has two fridges. The main home has three bedrooms (a master and two guest rooms that each have one queen bed and a triple decker bunk bed.)
Then there is a bunk house filled with bunk beds and a cottage with more beds.
The house had some really cool features.
A look-out on the roof.
A giant chess set.
A putting green.
And a great swimming pool with a huge patio, plus a covered summer kitchen.
The house had some beautiful design details too.
We spent the weekend boating on the lake, swimming, hanging out, cooking and hiking. I was happy to squeeze in a run and see deer along my route too.
It was the perfect end to summer.
Hope you are having a relaxing Labor Day.
