Rug Shopportunity (Home Decor Shouldn't Break the Bank)

After several years and two dogs (one being a puppy) our shag rug was starting to show her age. We bought her at Lowe's and she was about $199. Not a bad price for a rug that I loved and that got a ton of use. But after multiple shampoos, spills, accidents and lots of wear, it was time for a change.

I found this rug online -- it was on "Design Love Fest" when she revealed her new living room. I liked the subtle detail and of course the 'shagginess'. But the price tag for the 8 x 10 size was $1,091. My husband was not impressed!
That weekend we ended up at HomeGoods looking for new towels and what did I see?
My rug!! Well a pretty close approximation :) And for the same size, this one was only $299.

Please excuse my quick iphone quality pics :) :)
I cringe, yet pulling out my big camera seems like too much work today!
I felt like a winner! The new rug is just what this room needed. A subtle pattern, a little pop of color, and it is really thick and plush.

I moved around some pillows from the upstairs and switched out chairs. This ticking wingback chair was in our bedroom.

I am so excited with the new feel.

What is the best deal you have ever scored on a 'home decor' item?
