Finally- something for the boys!
Although this could definitely be used for a girl, it really made me think of my nephews. Sometimes it's hard to find cute 'non-commercial' decor for boys. Don't get me wrong I love all the Disney characters, but I prefer to save those for pjs and movies. I like my decor to be a bit more authentic. So armed with my stencil kit, I set out to make a little chair for the boy who loves "Toy Story" and "Buzz Lightyear".
I have used stencils several times, mostly for lettering. The most important thing to remember is to let the paint dry in between images/letters/shapes etc. If you place the stencil over a part that has not dried, it will smudge your work.
My favorite stencil in the kit was the shooting stars. I think I will be using these again for my girls, with some silvery sparkle fabric paint on a pillowcase.
