Completed! Our Bathroom Remodel is Done

For those of you that have been following me this summer, you have read a lot about our bathroom remodel. And...it's all done! So here are a million photos of our 'new' master bathroom and bedroom. At the bottom of the post I have listed sources as well as links to the posts where I show 'the before' pics :) I hope you find some inspiration in what we have done.

Now let's start the tour! First up, the bedroom. I spruced up the bedding with a new quilt and an assortment of textured pillows. We also hung a series of mirrors above the headboard.

Now let's walk into the bathroom through our 'old' sliding door (here).

And welcome to the new bathroom! We replaced the tub, the shower, all the tile, and the shower glass. We also put in a new chandelier and bathroom fixtures. The walls were painted as well.

We added granite to the countertops, had the vanities painted black, and added drawer pulls too.

The tile runs all the way into our closet.

Which made it 'neccessary' for a chandelier to be hung in the closet:) And for my turquoise tufted bench {here} to move in here as well. Makes it feel more like a dressing room.

Now that's it all said and done, let me say, it's much more fun to clean a pretty room. I appreciate your sweet comments on Instagram, Facebook and here during the remodel. I feel like we have been through quite a journey together, don't you?! :)

Bathroom Remodel {How to Save $$}

This post was sponsored by Decor Planet.com. All opinions are my own.

When we began our bathroom remodel, my husband and I searched all over the internet for bathroom fixtures, a tub, and a mirror. If you have ever built your own home or remodeled a bathroom, you know most of the work comes before any tile is set down. It's the searching and price comparison that takes so much time.

I recently discovered Decor Planet.com--I wish I had known about this site a few months ago! They have competitive pricing, free shipping, 110% price match guarantee, hasel free returns... bascially they offer affordable luxury for your home.

Master Bath Remodel: Progress Pictures

A remodel can seem to stretch on forever. Ours is almost done, but I completely under-estimated how long it would take to pull all the details together. I thought today I would show you some 'iPhone pics' of the progress.

The demo/tile work took about 2.5 weeks. After that waited 10 more days for the glass to be installed. And then we decided the entire bathroom needs to repainted (See here). (The current color is too brown now. I am wanting a cooler grey. ) Remodeling is like giving a mouse a cookie. One thing just leads to another.

In the meantime, we have hung the chandelier, bought rugs and accessories and of course-- enjoyed the tub.

I do have to admit- it's much easier to clean a pretty bathroom ;) We ran the tile into the closet. It feels glamorous!

And how about our door from Old Home Supply?! (See here) Hanging it wasn't as simple as it looks online. But my Jeff did it!

The painting starts Monday! And then I have a few things to hang on the wall. And then it's done!

PS- new molding in the laundry room must taste like steak... don't chew the wood Coco! #toolate

Colorful Bathroom Update

I added some color to our little bathroom. Which is the great thing about neutral tiles and wall paint. You can change the 'accessories' in the room and get a whole new look for a small price.

If you have been here for awhile, you may remember that we tore off the 'safari' wallpaper, knocked out tile and got a pro make-over in the shower.

The original 'bathroom reveal' - read more about it here.
The bathroom sits off the kitchen. It is right next to a backyard door, making it perfect for using as the pool bath in the summer.

I have been in the mood for blue lately, so when I saw these Threshold towels at Target, I had to bring them home. I have to say, anything Threshold that I have bought from Target has been amazing. The quality, the price, the style. Two thumbs up.

I painted the frame of my mirror a deep cobalt blue, added a gold frame (gold makes me happy!) and then tied it together with the towels.

I made some new monogram art. Using scrapbook paper and my Silhouette, I cut a "C" for Conner and set it on some contrasting paper. The frame and extra large mat 'make' this art look even better.

Here is a look at a few other details in the bathroom.

PS, this room was super hard to photograph, so excuse the tight angles. You never want to be in a small space, with a mirror, and two doors, shooting with a 50mm lens unless you only want extreme closeups :) I probably should have changed my lens, but at least it gave me a chance to show you my new favorite necklace-- it's colorful and from Old Navy!

Are you in the mood for color? Where would you like to add a pop of brightness in your home?
