Master Bath Remodel: Progress Pictures

A remodel can seem to stretch on forever. Ours is almost done, but I completely under-estimated how long it would take to pull all the details together. I thought today I would show you some 'iPhone pics' of the progress.

The demo/tile work took about 2.5 weeks. After that waited 10 more days for the glass to be installed. And then we decided the entire bathroom needs to repainted (See here). (The current color is too brown now. I am wanting a cooler grey. ) Remodeling is like giving a mouse a cookie. One thing just leads to another.

In the meantime, we have hung the chandelier, bought rugs and accessories and of course-- enjoyed the tub.

I do have to admit- it's much easier to clean a pretty bathroom ;) We ran the tile into the closet. It feels glamorous!

And how about our door from Old Home Supply?! (See here) Hanging it wasn't as simple as it looks online. But my Jeff did it!

The painting starts Monday! And then I have a few things to hang on the wall. And then it's done!

PS- new molding in the laundry room must taste like steak... don't chew the wood Coco! #toolate

I have been following you for awhile now, and I don't think I have ever replied to one of your many projects until this one of your bathroom renovation. Wow, I love everything about it, from the tub, to the subway tile, paint colour, barn door etc. You and your husband did a very good job.

My husband and I have tackled many renovations in our home, and in your head it shouldn't take very long. Then when you get started one thing leads to another like you said. I don't think I will ever use the word EASY anymore to my husband, because it never ends up being easy. LOL

Look forward to many more of future posts.

Enjoy the summer

Hi Kim
Thank you for reading and now commenting :) I appreciate your kind words, the bathroom has been a big project but a super fun one! Have a great summer and thanks for your support! :) Samantha
Oh I'm loving that sliding bar door. How does your hubby like helping around the house on all these projects? Your bathroom looks fab, the tub...I die. I've always wanted one. Most of all I'm loving your closet. :)

Good question! He actually loves to do projects too-- thank goodness! I couldn't do it without him, and there is no way I could afford to hire a handyman for all these things. We are a good match :)

The closet feels so organized with the tile floor.
Love your bathroom redo! Especially the door. Where did you find your hardware for sliding the door? I followed the link but that looks like it was for finding the actual door. Wow! That was a great price on that door. When I've looked at refurbished doors I only found expensive ones. Too bad Ft. Worth is a long way for us. :)

After seeing some pics on Instagram, I had to peek over here...I have major bathroom envy right now! I love your new tub and all that tile work is amazing. We are in the very beginning stages of remodeling our master bath. We have the sinks/vanities and are waiting on the tub which is backordered. My main question for you-did you hire a general contractor? My husband says we can do it ourselves and get the subs together, but I am uncertain. Were you happy with the people you used?

Happy you came over! Thank you-- doing a bathroom is no easy task (even when you hire it all out!). The guy we hired did all the tile work himself, then he had a plumber come over as needed for the tub and shower, as well as glass guy to do the shower. He is VERY affordable and his work is meticulous. This is third bathroom he has completed in our home. Plus he just did our laundry room tile! His name is Mateo Mendoza, phone number is (214) 783-1510. Good luck on your bathroom, I hope to see pics of it on IG :)
The remodel progress pictures you shared them here with the watching of them we are getting the points that how can we get the thoughts in batter way with their different modification ideas. Hope you will enjoy it batter.
Hello Kim,

I just found your blog today while doing some research for my upcoming bathroom remodel. First, I LOVE your bathroom! It's almost the exact thing I'm planning. I'm so happy to have come across your blog and found this as I'm such a visual person. Secondly, can I ask if your tub install required the flooring (past the previous tile/flooring removal) to be demolished due to the plumbing? Perhaps a better question is, is the installation of the plumbing pipe (from the tub into the floor) very invasive? Thanks
Since I am planning home remodelling, I contacted the Best Plumbers Club to invite estimation for plumbing needs. I hope that everything will fit my budget and I may proceed with the remodelling work, according to the plan.
