Bake It: Easiest Peach Cobbler Ever

After bombarding you with Christmas ideas on Monday, I promised I would be back with something yummy for November. So here it is-- the Easiest Peach Cobbler Ever. And it's delicious! I know because my husband, who never eats any of my desserts because "he doesn't like sweets" even had two helpings! Yes...it is that good and soooo easy.

I like this dessert for the month of November, because the week of Thanksgiving is a busy one. We have family visiting from out-of-town and we always host a few family meals before the big Thanksgiving day arrives. So it's nice to have a yummy dessert that is different than the traditional pumpkin pies we will all be eating with our turkey. And the fact that it is super simple to make doesn't hurt either. :)

I found this recipe on allrecipes.com
Here is what you need:
-2 (16 ounce) cans of peaches in heavy syrup
-1 box of yellow cake mix
-1 stick of cold butter
- cinnamon

 1. Collect your ingredients and preheat your oven to 375 degrees
2. Gather up some cute helpers.
3. Dump both cans of peaches in a 9x12 glass dish. No greasing necessary.
2. Pour the cake mix on top.
3. Sprinkle cinnamon all over the top.
4. Finally, grate (yes I said grate) your stick of butter on the top. You could slice it up into pads, but there is something fun about grating butter.
**Bake for 45 minutes. Serve with ice cream and get ready to receive lots of compliments. :)

Oh and if you are re-using your Halloween decor for Thanksgiving, consider white paint. Our witchy pumpkins got a little make-over. No need to toss out a perfectly good pumpkin just because it has a face.
Getting ready for Thanksgiving? What is your 'go to dessert' when you have family in town?
