New Year's Eve Treats

New Year's Eve comes the same day each year, but for some reason I like to wait until the last minute to plan! Luckily our sweet friends invited us along to a party with them. I wanted to bring a fun NYE dessert, but I was short on time. So what did I do? I 'semi-homemade' a few things of course :)

My first semi-homemade recipe... a Countdown Cookie Clock! Just buy a cookie cake at the store and then pipe on a clock face using store-bought icing.

My second semi-homemade recipe... Oreo Macaroons! Really these are 'inside out' double stuffed Oreos, but a fancy name makes them taste even better. Just remove the top of an Oreo. Attach that top to the bottom using icing. Then pipe on the year with icing and add some granulated sugar. These were so crunchy and delicious, they were gone within a matter of minutes!

I think these would be cute for a birthday party or baby shower. You could use icing to pipe on any numbers, words, or monogram that you want!

The party was super fun- we can't wait to see what 2018 brings!

Happy New Year my friends!
