How to Turn Your Instagram Followers into Blog Readers

My favorite social media by far is Instagram. I love that it is just little squares. I love that people comment and communicate more on Instagram because it feels like a little community. I love that one photo can sum up an entire moment.

But there is one thing that I do not like about Instagram, and that is you cannot add 'click-able' links in the captions! I can't even count the number of times I have seen a product or a blog post that I want to know more about, but I can't find a direct link to it via Instagram. And usually by the time I would think about 'googling it'-- I would get distracted and forget. If you are a blogger, a website owner, if you run an Etsy shop, or have your business on Instagram, you have probably thought the same thing. Luckily, there is finally a solution to the problem.

Enter "Link in Profile". Before I explain about the service, let me just say I was not compensated in any way for this post. Literally I stumbled upon their website and fell in love. So I contacted them and told them I was writing a post about it because no one is talking about it and everyone needs to know about it!

Link in Profile is easy, you sign up online in seconds. (No credit card is needed). You get to try it free for 30 days. What does it do? It directs your readers from your Instagram feed to your website, specifically to the destination on your website they are interested in. Your readers won't have to click over to your site and then go searching around for the product or blog post you shared on IG. Instead they can click and directly to the product/post they want to see.

To set it up, just register on their website. Then, add the "Link in Profile" code as your website on your Instagram bio.

When you post a photo, simply add the URL to the post/product in the caption.

Then when your reader clicks to your bio, they click on the "Link in Profile" code and it shows them thumbnails of all your Instagram posts. They pick the photo they want to know more about and click on it. And they are taken directly to that place on your website!

Link in profile directly connects your Instagram followers to the specific item they want to see on your website. It is genius! Since I started using it, I have seen the proof that it works. One month of using Link in Profile and now Instagram is in my top 10 traffic referring sites each day (prior to Link in Profile, IG was never even listed as a referring site).

Everyone who saw this on IG and liked it, could easily find it on my site. Click here.
So people who saw this image on Instagram, can click to it directly! See it here
Why do you need it? If you are spending any amount of time on Instagram, you need that time to count. You need to turn your followers into readers and customers. Plus it fits into your workflow, no extra steps when you post. Once you have the Link in Profile code installed in your bio, just upload a picture and write your caption with the direct URL. That's it.

Like I said, I am not being paid to share this. I just think the service is brilliant and I want more people to know about it. Let me know in the comments below if you have tried it or if you have any great services that have helped with your online business. Sharing is caring! :)
