Happy First Day of School

Some people have already headed back to school, others aren't going back until after Labor Day. And here in Texas, we start on August 22nd. Which means we have less than a week. Eeek! Our summer has been so fun, busy, relaxing, crazy, and really hot. But I am ready to get back into our routine and start all of our fun fall activities. My girls will be in 1st and 5th grade this year. They can't wait to meet their new teachers and see who is in their class. I am excited for them! The First Day of School is a big deal. So I made a little "Happy First Day of School" gift to give to their teachers.

I found these super cute chalkboard printables at Easy Green Mom. If you click on this link, it will take you right to her site so you can print them for free too. I just added a little hot pink cardstock to the back to make them more sturdy. Then I punched a hole and tied it to a bag with twine.

So what's inside these cute bags?

Well, when we were browsing at 5Below, my girls spotted these fun pencil sharpeners. I loved them too. And they are the perfect 'Happy First Day of School' treat for their teachers. Can you guess which of my girls picked out which sharpener?

Afton's gift for her teacher

And Maisy's gift for her teacher :)
We also got sharpeners for the Principal and Assistant Principal. Because everyone needs a high heel sharpener on their desk right?? I am going to add in a bag of M&M's to each gift bag as well. Chocolate on the First Day of School just seems like a 'must have' item.

Are you kiddos ready for school yet?
