And before we talk PTA Hospitality, let's chat about 'hospitality' in general. The quote below sums it up. Hospitality and being a good hostess is not about having a 'Pin-worthy' party or the perfect home to gather in. Hospitality is the joy of serving others. Don't ever let the state of your home decor or your lack of 'pinteresting' party skills ever keep you from welcoming others into your house or giving someone a thoughtful treat. All anyone ever really cares about it that you extended your hand and your heart and did something kind. I have been guilty of confusing 'entertaining' with 'hospitality' too! Maybe we can help each other remember that joy comes from serving others....
Now, back to the discussion of PTA duties!
So, my first official job was to distribute the "Favorite List" for the entire staff. We will pass this information on to the Homeroom Parents and they will use it to treat the teachers throughout the year.

Finally, I wanted to give the teachers a little treat on the first day back. And how cute are these tags from Thirty Handmade Days?! I printed and cut out 50 tags, then added them to baggies.
If I were doing them for just my daughter's teacher, I would probably use a more decorative bag or some ribbon. But since I was serving the entire staff, these were perfect! (see quote at the top of this post- right?!)
