Teacher Gifts & Staff Appreciation Ideas- 5 Senses

Last week our school celebrated Staff Appreciation. For the past two years, I was the Hospitality Chair at my school and in charge of organizing this week. It was always a lot of fun! But this year, I passed on my "Hospitality Hat" to my friend Tiffany and took on a few other jobs for PTA. My friend has done such a great job as the Queen of Hospitality this year and her activities for Staff Appreciation Week have been so fun I wanted to share them with all of you! She chose to focus the week on the "5 Senses" and created a '5 Days, 5 Ways to Celebrate our Sense-sational Teachers and Staff'.

SIGHT: Wear your sunglasses to school to protect your eyes from the glaring beauty of our staff. They shine so bright! The kids loved wearing their shades to school.

For my gift: I sent in an 'over the top' pair of sunglasses to wear during recess duty with the teachers' favorite candy. I paired it with this cute printable from the Eighteen25 blog.

TOUCH: Give your teachers a hug, high five or fist bump to show them a little love. A masseuse will be on campus to give staff massages throughout the day.

For my gift: I bundled together some pretty nail polish and an emery board.

I used another cute printable from the Eighteen25 Blog for this gift too! "Thanks for being a Toe-Tally Awesome Teacher". You can snag the printable from their blog by clicking here.

TASTE: Our PTA will be treating the entire staff to an off-campus lunch at Rio Mambo throughout the week. Feel free to bring your teacher one of their favorite treats. (This is one of the coolest things we do for our teachers all year. Parent volunteers cover the classes for 2 hour blocks during the week while the staff take turns going to lunch off campus.)

For my gift: I wrapped up Kit Kat bars and added cute tags that said "You Deserve a Break".

The printable is from (surprise!) the Eighteen25 blog. Honestly, I love everything they create and they make it so easy to download and print! Get your free printable here.

SMELL: Bring your teacher something to smell- a candle, a flower, lotion, perfume etc.

For my gift: What is better than something good smelling from Bath and Body Works? I couldn't find a free printable for this one. So I made it myself using PicMonkey. "You are Scent-Sational" !

SOUND: Students will record a short video on their iPad telling their teacher how awesome they are. This will be done at school. (Our school is a 1-to-1 school, meaning all the kids have either an iPad or laptop provided by the district.)

My for gift: I used annnnoooohter printable from the Eighteen25 blog. It says "You are all that and a bag of chips." I thought it was perfect for 'sound' because everyone likes to hear a nice compliment and because chips make a 'crunch' sound when you open them :) Click here to print the tag from the Eighteen25 blog.

These ideas are cute not only Staff or Teacher Appreciation Week, but they make great Teacher gift throughout the year too! Which one is your favorite?
